Is roamrig.io a real phone or an emulator?

A real, physical phone. We buy retail phones (current generation unless you specify otherwise), rack them in our US facility, and activate each one on a premium postpaid carrier plan. Nothing is virtualized, nothing is emulated. The platforms you log into see exactly what they'd see from any phone in the United States — because that's what it is.

Where are the phones physically located?

Our primary facility is in the United States. We can confirm city-level location on request for compliance purposes. The phones never leave the country, so geo-IP, GPS, timezone, carrier, and language all align with a US resident — which is exactly what bulletproof account stability requires.

Which carrier will my phone be on?

Accepted Answer

T-Mobile, AT&T, or Verizon, depending on regional availability. All three are tier-one US carriers on premium postpaid plans, not discount MVNO resellers. If you have a strong preference (some users prefer T-Mobile for its mobile ASN history), tell us at signup and we'll match if we have stock.

Is the data really unlimited?

Yes. We pay for premium consumer postpaid plans, not the discount unlimited plans that throttle to 256kbps after 35GB. In practice you can pull and push hundreds of GB per month without seeing a slowdown. The only soft limit is the carrier's deprioritization in moments of extreme tower congestion, which behaves identically to a regular consumer phone.

How do I access the phone?

Through any modern browser. Log into your dashboard, click your device, and a remote session opens with mouse, keyboard, multi-touch gestures, clipboard sync, file upload/download, and camera/mic access for verification flows. The session runs on encrypted WebRTC for sub-100ms latency from anywhere in the world.

Can multiple people access the same phone?

Yes. You can create per-user logins for VAs, team members, or models. Each user has scoped access to specific devices, never sees your billing or other devices in your fleet, and shows up in the audit log so you know who did what and when. You can revoke any user in one click.

What about 2FA and SMS verification?

Incoming SMS is mirrored in real time to your dashboard and optionally pushed to a webhook so your automation can read codes programmatically. The number stays the same for the entire rental, so your 2FA, account recovery, and verified-contact graph all stay stable across months.

Will my accounts get banned?

Accepted Answer

We can't promise zero bans — no infrastructure provider honestly can, and anyone who does is lying. What we can promise is that the device-and-network signal is as bulletproof as it gets short of physically being in the US yourself. Our customers routinely run 12+ month-old Instagram, TikTok, OnlyFans, and dating accounts on roamrig.io devices without device-related flags. Most bans we hear about trace back to content or behavior, not infrastructure.

Can I use the phone as a mobile proxy?

Yes. Every device exposes an optional HTTP and SOCKS5 proxy endpoint on its 5G connection. Plug the credentials into your desktop browser, Multilogin, GoLogin, Dolphin Anty, Playwright, Puppeteer, or any other tool that takes proxy config. Your desktop now broadcasts the same residential US mobile IP as the phone.

What does it cost?

$50 USD per phone, per month, with a 5-phone minimum. One-time fees: $10 setup per phone and $11 SIM per phone, billed at cost. Annual billing saves 18% ($41 per phone/month). For fleets above 25 phones we'll build a custom plan with dedicated support and an SLA.

How do I pay?

Credit and debit cards via our payment processor. Crypto (USDC, USDT, BTC) for annual plans. Wire transfer for enterprise accounts above 25 devices. We don't accept PayPal because their reversal policy is incompatible with how we provision hardware.

Can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time, from the dashboard. On the monthly plan you keep full access through the end of your current billing period and then everything stops cleanly — no auto-renewal traps. Annual plans are committed for 12 months in exchange for the 18% discount, which is disclosed clearly at checkout.

How fast can you provision a phone?

Same-day for in-stock regions and devices, typically within 2–4 hours of signup during business hours. If we're out of your preferred carrier or model, we'll tell you upfront with an honest ETA — usually 2–5 business days while we activate a new line.

Question 14

What if the phone breaks or the line gets suspended?

Covered. Hardware failures are replaced at our expense within 24 hours and your data and SMS history migrate to the new device. If the carrier suspends a line (rare, but it happens), we swap to a fresh SIM and notify you — number changes are coordinated with you so your 2FA doesn't break unexpectedly.

Is this legal?

Renting a phone is legal everywhere we operate. What you do with the phone is your responsibility — we don't allow fraud, harassment, CSAM, terrorism financing, or anything else that violates US federal law or our Terms of Service. Run a clean operation and you'll never hear from us beyond billing and support.

Do you log my sessions?

By default, no. Remote-control sessions are ephemeral and not recorded. We keep operational metadata (login times, IP, data consumed, device uptime) for billing reconciliation and security investigations, retained for 90 days. You can optionally enable session recording on your own devices for internal compliance — that's stored encrypted in your dashboard and only you can access it.
